JULY 16th 2006

Hello folks!
The wondering is over.... the Mr. Dixie Belle Leather contest WILL continue.
The contest dates will be September 15-16, 2006.
(The original date was changed due to a conflict with the Cornhauler's run in Des Moines being on Sept 9-10; hopefully this will not cause any additional overlap of events in the area.)

Missie B's / Bootlegger's Bar has graciously offered to allow us to hold the contest in their space.
Since the recent closing of the Dixie Belle, you can imagine we have been busy making alternate plans and decisions.  The decision to continue the Mr. Dixie Belle Leather contest was made easier by the announcement that at some point in the future there would be another Dixie Belle bar.  We have NO information as to when this may be (could be months or even years), but with the promise of another DB, the decision to continue the contest was an easy one to make.  It's exciting to know that even without a bar of it's namesake open at this time, the Dixie Belle Leather title chain will remain unbroken.

Our head judge for this event will be International Mr. Leather - Bo Ladashevska, from Montreal.  The remaining panel of judges will be announced very soon!

We hope that you will make plans to attend this event and celebrate, with us, the continuation of a tradition.

Please watch our website (to be updated soon) for more information regarding the contest, judges, sponsorship and contestant information.

Please feel free to post this information to any groups, organizations or friends.

THANKS!!
And - we look forward to seeing you September 15-16 in Kansas City!

TRAVIS WILSON

 October 29 & 30

This seminar features a meet & greet with Travis on Friday night, to be held at the Topanga Grill contained in the Hollywood Hotel, 3500 nw 39th Expwy, prior to attending the private play party. He will start the nights fun with a whip demo.  Classes on "Knives and other sharp pointy things" as well as "BDSM & Personal Journeys". will be presented  Saturday afternoon, with a pot luck dinner and "HALLOWSCREAM" Costume Party afterward.  Class descriptions are:

Knives and other sharp pointy things.

Blood and passion, light scratches, sensual sensations, fantasies and mind play, rites of passages and body modifications. All of this and much more. Sharp pointy objects can take us all the way in BDSM, from the most soft, sensual, romantic play, to the most heavy blood play. They can be all about S&M or they can be all about helping you in your own spiritual journey. Talons, knives, scalpels, bear claws, needles, teeth, finger nails, and so many more types of sharp objects. I'll show you mine, you show me yours. Bring your own "sharp pointy things", and together lets learn how to touch our partner's soul as well as their bodies and minds.

BDSM and Personal Journeys

It is the Journey not the Destination. How many times we have heard that, and never is it more true then in the world of BDSM. Many of us came into this world for the excitement, the fun, the eroticism, the danger, the edge. What we so often found was a series of growth opportunities, rites of passage, rituals, moments and experiences that changed our lives. Come talk about your journey, share it with others. Where you started and where you have come. What you have learned and where you want to go. I talk about a lot of mine on my website. If you have a chance before the workshop, check it out, and then bring your own stories to share. <http://www.houstonbdsm.com/Personal%20Journey.html>
